The North Council

The verdict is in! 5 lucky people have been "appointed" to the North Council for the next year. These people include Darin, Missy, Jackie, Jake, and Stacey. They have "solemnly sworn" to represent our family to the best of their abilities.

The North Council was created to get more people involved and to get new ideas for Up North. We want everyone's voice to be heard! Please take a few moments to get to know the members of the Council. Feel free to contact them at anytime day or night with your ideas and/or concerns about Up North. Do not be too shy or embarrassed to share your opinions with them - they will not "judge" you.

Meet the 2012 North Council

Judge Darin - "Town Elder"
Not only is Judge Darin the eldest member of the Council, but he is also our resident John Deere expert. He can often be seen on his tractor chauffeuring dozens of people down Konsella Road. Last year, Darin's graceful "diving" skills nearly earned him a trip to the Summer Games in London. However, he "flopped" and fell short of his dreams. Raise your right hand and toast your PBR to Judge Darin!

Judge Missy - "Lil Debbie"
We are so fortunate to have the lead singer of "Little Debbie and the Snack Cakes" be a member of the Council. Not only did she kick-off last year's Horseshoe Tournament with her rendition of the National Anthem, but she also managed to bring home the championship trophy. She could barely walk the next day from having to carry her partner! Missy's inspirational performance in the First Annual Chequamegon 5Kish was one that we can only hope will be repeated. With those talents, who could object to Judge Missy?

Judge Jackie - "Ms. Leinie's"
Judge Jackie's selflessness has made her a perfect candidate for the Council. She is so committed to the family that she took on a second job to provide us with an endless supply of cheap beer. Way to take one for the team, Jackie! The evidence suggests that Judge Jackie will do a great job!

Judge Jake - "Mr. Horseshoe"
As a former "Plow Boy" and avid "panny-cake eater," Judge Jake was a "shoe-in" for the Council. Jake's repeated top performances in the Horseshoe Tournament (especially since most of the uncles have been unable to compete) prove that he will be a fine leader. His love for the cabin and his unwillingness/cheapness to travel may someday cost him the "Big-D," but like he always says, "Why go someplace tropical, when you could go Up North?" Now that's commitment! May the record reflect that Judge Jake is the best man for the job!

Judge Stacey - "Ms. College"
She may be the baby of the Council, but she will still represent us well! To show her dedication and commitment to the family, Stacey is willing to sacrifice her library and study time to serve us. We are hoping that her days in LaCrosse provide her with a rich edumacation and worldly experiences, like Tippy Cup and Beer Pong, that she can share with us. The jury finds Judge Stacey will be guilty of being a great leader!
